Here are some important details:

• The airline requires that your pet is at least 6 months old to travel.

• They also must be under 18 lb (8 kg), carrier included.

• Your carrier must be within 21.65 x 13.75 x 9.8 in (55 x 35 x 25 cm)

  (this makes La Compagnie the airline with the largest carriers allowed for in cabin pets!)

• Your pet must be microchipped (prior to rabies vaccination) and all vaccinations must be up-to-date. For first-time rabies vaccinations, effectiveness begins 21 days post-inoculation (day of vaccination is day 0) and lasts up to 1 year.

• Each passenger may only travel with ONE pet. This rule could be limiting to some who need to travel with more. The airline only allows three pets per flight, so you may want to check to make sure there is space before booking your flight.

• Your pet cost an extra $200 per flight or a total of $400 round trip.

• Your pet’s carrier counts as your cabin baggage. You’re allowed one small personal item in addition, but all other luggage must be checked.

• The pet passport, including the Certificate of Good Health, must be issued within 10 days of departure and within 15 days of your return. The certificate must be completed before travel, and all official documents must be in English.
